TECHNOLOGY / CTL

Experience becomes usable at the next decision.

Causal Trajectory Learning represents work as evidence-linked trajectories, evaluates those trajectories against outcomes and feedback, then retrieves relevant prior experience when a related decision appears.

Patent pending

The operating role survives a model change.

The memory object

Keep the path attached to the result.

Each trajectory keeps context, a decision, its action, and the observed outcome connected as one evidence-linked record.

The learning cycle

How feedback changes later work.

T0

Context

The task state, governing instructions, available tools, and operating boundary.

T1

Decision

The choice made at a specific point in the work and the evidence available at that time.

T2

Action

The tool call, system change, drafted work, or escalation produced by that decision.

T3

Outcome

What happened next, including task state, customer review, correction, and counterevidence.

Comparison

CTL stores a different kind of memory.

01

Document retrieval

Returns relevant information. CTL also retrieves prior operating paths with decisions, actions, and evaluated outcomes.

02

Prompt memory

Carries selected context forward. CTL preserves structured task history so a later decision can use reviewed experience.

03

Long context

Increases what a model can read at once. CTL governs which prior trajectories are relevant to the current decision.

04

Fine-tuning

Changes model weights. CTL is designed to change behavior from reviewed results without requiring model-weight retraining.

Observable change

Causal means evidence-backed, revisable, and scoped.

A trajectory can support a candidate relationship between a decision and an outcome. Later results, feedback, or counterevidence can weaken, correct, or supersede that relationship. CTL does not claim omniscient causal truth.

01

Trace

The evidence and actions that produced the result.

02

Feedback

The human or environmental signal that evaluated it.

03

Lesson

The change produced from that evidence.

04

Scope

The customer, job, workflow, and permission where it applies.

05

Future behavior

The related decision where the proven route is retrieved.
